Hey, 2011,
You’ve been great. I’m not just saying that because it’s optimistic to make a year seem flowery, but seriously, you’ve been ridiculously awesome, and I loved basking in the emotions.
You allowed me to have the highest of up’s and the lowest of low’s, you’ve pushed me towards a house filled with laughters and pulled me through a labyrinth of confusion over existence. You made me lose friends that hung on a thread, but you also gave me amazing ones who took me on great adventures.
Overall, you were a pretty awesome year.
Best of all, I made the best decision some time in July. I was walking with my best friend Lana towards a LeakyMug podcast recording to watch Christian Caldera perform some music. While we were walking, John Green was less than ten feet in front of us. I wanted so badly to tackle him into a hug from behind, but I didn’t. It’s good that I made this decision because I found out a day later that John was in pain from a colonoscopy he underwent.
That’s a wise decision because I really didn’t want to be responsible for anyone’s death this year. I was not ready for that yet. Maybe next year but definitely not this year.
