LiBRAries
I’ve been thinking a lot about reading lately, and libraries in general. I’ve been looking at a lot of photos of libraries because I get so sad whenever I pass by local libraries. So, photos of overseas libraries compensate for the depressing state of local ones.
Like, I wonder what do they really need to get an audience pulled in? Do they need nightly fireworks? Do they need actors dressed up as characters from a book? Because if they need that, I can be like, Nakhoda Manis’ mother or something, but I’ll be the cool mum, the kind who is like, “Manis, I know the current music fad. I know you like this current music rage called Dubstep. I know this because I Wikipedia the balls out of it. I know the origin and that artist you like…” and I’ll start reciting the content of Wikipedia to Manis, which is why he’d run away to the United States to start a business on making Dubstep massive worldwide! But he’ll fail, and he’ll be like, “I should have listened to mum!” And he’ll come back to Brunei and find me broke as balls!
Do libraries need that? Because I can make that work. I’m sure there’s a ball gown somewhere that I can fit into and make this work.
So… yeah, I’m glad I’m not in charge of publicity for B:Read.
